Helping out . . . [Sep. 3rd, 2005|04:27 pm]

Help Out Hurricane Katrina Victims

Do you want to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina, but are financially unable to? You can still help. The Oxygen Network has started a campaign called 'Oh! Speak Up!: The Youngest Victims of Hurricane Katrina'.

The campaign is helping children who were patients of the New Orleans Children's Hospital who were moved to the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. Oxygen has stated that for every person the signs up for the campaign, they will donate $1 to help the kids.

All you have to do is enter your name, age, zip code, and email address. Nothing else is required and you won't get tons of spam email.

It's a great cause and you'd be donating $1 to the campaign at no cost to yourself. I've already signed up, along with 12,685 other people.

Think about it: if one million people sign up, that's one million dollars to help these children.

Email it, post it in your own journal, do whatever.

I so don't update since work started. lol yeah, shitty week with this bad weather having no power to being sick. no time for the lj which sucks. My boss is just a jack ass. Everyone talks at work but teacher are like the wrost at gossip. well, when I was in the hospital I got nothing ( not that I wanted anything ) it just would of been nice to of known they cared, because God knows that if anyone else is out of work they send that big ass yellow envelope asking for money well, let it be know that he told everyone he was not going to collect any money to get me anything because he didn't believe I was in the hospital. Piss off I had my release forms and he wouldn't take them. it sucks having a father that is on the School Board they take everything out on me. haye, I didn't get a raise either. but look my babies made me this look!

AWWWWWWWWE!! Collapse )

oh wow! it's great to be home. I've been in the hospital turns out that that pain in my side wasn't a kidney infrection it was kidney stones a really BIG ONE they go in a scale from one to ten and mine was a fucking 6! a 1-5 size is on the passing scale mine had to be a 6 right blah! so I sat in the ER tuesday night then they did like all these tests well there was too much blood in my urnie, so they gave me a CAT scan then they did all this blood work and my arms are all bruied. my hand is swollen from the IV too. they kept me over night to watch me and see if the fluids they were giving me would break the stone up. well I'm in no pain ( atm ) so the stone is flaking and passing. My nurses were really nice. I was happy. they treated me really well. but what really pisses me off is that my boss told my dad when he called to say I was in the HOSPITAL he's see what he could do about getting a sub for me WTF! he's an ASS HOLE!!!

today was my first day with students omg! I'm in for a long ride I'm so re thinking the whole preschool age. the kids are just so hyper and for some reason the 5 we had today ( they come 5 a day this week ) were really bad, not bad they were just very hyper and rude, which is understandable, but you'd think at the age of 4 and 5 the parents would have at least thought them something some of these kids don't even know there real name.
it was really amusing thou, one lil boy has the nickname "penny" and we'd call him his real name and he's never look up finally after like 10 times of saying his name I yell "penny" and he came too me We were like okay poor kid. They are all really cute this year. we have 12 boys and 8 girls. we've always had girls so now lil boys are playing with dolls and dads are mad. I love the fact that he dads of these lil boys are active in the class though you rarely see that. I'm tired but not sleepy. and it's 11 I gotta be up @ 6. Grr.
